Submissions Criteria...
Looking for the perfect agency to represent your talent and ideas?
You've come to the right place. We are always taking submissions, rain or shine.
But first, here's a few things you need to know before moving forward:
1. Be Prepared.
Just like everyone in this industry, we're not fond of pitches of incomplete works. Be sure that you have your i's dotted and your t's crossed.
Ensure that you are ready to pull the proverbial trigger and not just toying with an idea. Have your friends and colleagues look over your work and critic you. Do some research on the topic of your art to understand the lingo and the requirements in today's marketplace. Etc...
Remember, we are looking QuickFire ready creators seeking to take the next big step in their artistic career.
2. Learn About Us.
Choosing an Agency to represent you is no easy decision. You need to know where your agent has been, where he/she is, and where he/she is going. You need to know what makes us unique, and whether that differentiation is right for you. There are many agents and agencies out there, and each one will be able to offer you great opportunities. Take your time. Don't rush this step. When you feel that you're absolutely certain about an Agency, take that leap.
3. It's Okay to be Excited.
This is a big step towards realizing your dreams! It's okay to be excited about that! And if that excitement shows through in your submission, great! Just remember this: Professionalism. Even though we enjoy and appreciate enthusiasm as much as the next, when you Query us for your submission, keep it short, concise, and professional. We go through A LOT of submissions in a given month, so the speed with which we can ascertain your concept and your art, the more likely that it sits well with us.
4. It's Okay to be Rejected.
This is key. Understand that just because we, or any other agency, reject your submission, that doesn't mean that your concept/art is unworthy. Sometimes it means that we don't have the proper market for it. Sometimes it means that we are already inundated with similar works and have no more room in the pantry. Sometimes it means that it just wasn't strong enough, it needed polishing, or it needed an absolute overhaul. Regardless of why an agency rejects your works, NEVER give up on your craft. Hone it, empower it, study it... And after a reasonable time (90+ days), Query us again and let us see how far you've come.
***Note: We rarely return rejected submissions with critique. If you are interested in how you can improve, attend local writing workshops for ample opportunity!
